Try Again

Try Again is, arguably, the best boulder problem at Lincoln Woods. Start on two small, but positive crimpers, and dynamically move up and left to a good flat edge. Match, struggling to keep your feet on, then grab the finishing bucket and mantle. "Tall" Ed Sewall first sent this problem, which thwarted locals for over 10 years, in the early 80s. John "Whitey" McLean found the "short man's" beta by using a small intermediate crimp and a wicked high step. There are several other classic problems on this face, including both sit starts to Try Again, and several problems that finish up and right. Please be patient, this animation may take a moment to load. Photo sequence of Lee Soares sending Try Again by Tony Veltri.
