Peak season for finding rock! from jasonh's blog

The fall colors are at their peak in VT.

Once the leaves fall my hunt for new bouldering areas and cliff bands will be in prime season until we get buried in snow.
Over the last week I've done a few hikes and found some great new stuff.

Here's a few beautiful overhung ones from a hike in Killington:

Here's a shot of my daughter Mazie after we cleaned and she got to work one of the shorter lines at the new cliff.  We thought it was going to be in the 5.7-8 range but once I cleaned it and she got on it we realized it was in the 5.11-12 range.  This cliff will definitely have some really fantastic lines as it's all overhung with decent but not great holds:

Those first 2 pics are making me feel very sad that I can't climb.
